The Story of ProphetsnWatches

ProphetsnWatches was started out of a watchdog mentality around the Prosperity Gospel and the preachers who proclaim it.

With a lot of attention being paid towards the outfits and sneakers that a lot of these pastors, preachers, and prophets wore, one thing went under the radar: Watches.

As a lifelong watch addict, and an expert in not only the industry as a whole, but the brand’s that make up the industry, I found myself in a unique position to be able to bring some clarity to the entire conversation around what was arguably the most expensive and opulent part of the entire conversation. With many people in the evangelical space not really understanding how much these watches actually cost, as well as the difficulty to obtain them, I started putting some really low effort, low quality posts together and sharing them with my friends.

The account eventually caught on, and garnered traction in the church-y world, so the natural next step is a website in which I can produce long form content, around the questions I get asked every single day.

You can expect everything from blog posts on topical issues, listicles of some of my favorite (modest) watches that church leaders don’t need to sweat picking up, and merch drops around the content, the goal, and the PnW brand as a whole.
